Arizona WIC Breastfeeding and Training Program

Anne Whitmire, IBCLC, RLC, is the Arizona WIC Breastfeeding and Training Program Administrator for the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). She has worked in Public Health for the last 26 years and been an an IBCLC for 15 years. In her time at the ADHS, she has been focused on building a community of support around the breastfeeding dyad and their families. This includes but is not limited to the ADHS 24 hour Breastfeeding Hotline, the Arizona WIC Breast Pump Program, Arizona WIC Peer Counselor Program, the Together for the Duration Hospital Program, the WIC Staff Training Program, Empower - Breastfeeding, the 8 Steps to Breastfeeding Friendly program for providers, Making It Work Arizona workplace accommodation program, LATCH-AZ, etc. In her free time, you will find her and her husband cheering in the stands watching volleyball. Her daughter plays both school and club ball while her son coaches.
