Dr. Cadey Harrel is an Arizona native, and returned to Arizona after completing her residency with Mercy Family Medicine Residency in St. Louis, MO. Prior to that she completed an intern year in Obstetrics & Gynecology before deciding upon a career in Family Medicine. She completed medical school at the University of Arizona, and is currently a board certified Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the founder and Director of the Women’s Health Clinic at the South Campus Family Medicine Clinic in Tucson. Her areas of interest include maternal and child health, breastfeeding medicine, health policy, and health equity. Dr. Harrel is a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocol Committee, has co-authored numerous Academy Of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols, and is experienced in treating breastfeeding and lactation pathology, and the treatment of infant tongue tie. She has spent her career dedicated to education, not only with her patients and her community, but with medical students, residents, and physician colleagues as well. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her partner and children, gardening, music, and yoga.
